Silver Creek Elementary PTO is behind the scenes of the various programs, events, and fundraisers that support our school, children, and staff. The donations for our fundraisers come from our parents, businesses and general public.
The PTO holds monthly meetings to discuss and plan upcoming school events. We appreciate our volunteers, and are always looking for those who are interested in volunteering or joining the PTO Board or committee. Volunteering is a great way to get connected with other parents and contribute to our school environment where teachers and students alike can do their best work.

The President shall preside at all meetings of the general and executive board, be a member of all active committees, be the spokesperson of the organization, coordinate the organizations activities with the school and community, and perform all duties pertaining to the office.
The Vice-President shall aid the President and perform duties of the President in the absence of that officer at meetings or when given the right to perform such by the President.
The Fall Fundraiser Chair shall be in charge of the fall fundraiser, research and provide the PTO board with fundraising options and ideas, chair any committees set up for all fall fundraising projects, and any other duties as delegated by the President.
The Santa's Workshop Chair shall be in charge of the Santa's workshop store, chair any committees set up in regards to Santa's Workshop, and perform any other duties as delegated by the President.
The Volunteer Chair shall be responsible for requesting and scheduling volunteers to help in the classrooms and workrooms, train volunteers in workroom etiquette, help with the volunteer luncheon, coordinate with roomparent chair, and all other duties as delegated by the President.
The Membership Chair shall be responsible for the annual membership drive, production of the school directory, and all other duties as delegated by the President.
The Secretary shall keep accurate record of all meetings and attendance, present written minutes to the board at the following meeting, notify members of board meetings, serve as publicity chair, and any other duties as delegated by the President.
The Treasurer shall receive all monies of the organization, keep accurate records of receipts and expenditures, payout local funds only as authorized by the Executive Bard, make a full financial report at the last meeting of the school year, and any other dutites as delegated by the President. The Treasurer's accounts shall be examined annually by an independent auditor prior to the last day of school. The Treasurer shall be responsible for creating a budget at the beginning of the school year based on the previous year's records and other information collected. NO MONIES WILL BE RELEASED UNLESS APPROVED BY THE PTO BOARD and validated by receipts. All receipts must be turned into the Treasurer or President within 7 days of purchase to be eligible for reimbursement. Home office supplies used for PTO buiness will not be reimbursed. This includes paper, ink, or any other supplies or services available through the school.
The Roomparent Chair shall organize roomparents, coordinate their activities with PTO and school. Coordinates with Volunteer Chair and also perform any other duties as delegated by the President.
The Teacher Liaison shall be a link of communication between the staff and the board, assist with fundraiser and special projects.
The Boxtops/Labels Chair coordinates and collects boxtops and labels throughout the year and performs any other duties as delegated by the President.
Box Tops coordinators are responsible for keeping everyone at school informed, generating enthusiasm, and collecting and submitting Box Tops to receive earnings checks.
How can you help your school’s Box Tops coordinator? It’s a big job, and most coordinators will appreciate any assistance that comes their way! Here are few ideas for getting involved.
The Parliamentarian shall follow Robets Rules of Order Revised during the scheduled PTO meetings, will chair the Nominating Committee, produce and distribute the monthly newsletter, and set up parameters for end of year elections.
The Special Projects Chair shall be responsible for six weeks awards, canned food drives, active roll in all fundraising, and all other duties as delegated by the President.
The Hospitality Committee is made up of the executive board which will participate in all decisions involving luncheons, appreciation gifts, cards and other such events. The Executive Board will be reponsible for presenting ideas to the general board for approval.
This committee shall be made up of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Parliamentarian.
